International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day

“The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights” – Gloria Steinem

March 8th, 2018 is International Women’s Day. First celebrated in 1909, International Women’s Day is both a celebration and a call to action. On International Women’s Day we celebrate the social, economic, political and cultural achievements of women across the world. The movement has made great strides toward progress in recent years but global action is a must to continue the acceleration of gender parity.

Robinson Hill’s CEO, Dee Robinson, is taking part in the movement in her community’s International Women’s Day celebration. Ms. Robinson will be part of a select panel of female executives and will speak on important topics such as equality, leadership and supporting other women.

International Women’s Day events across the nation will pose important questions such as: What will it take to create a workplace culture where men and women are equal? How can we continue to build an equal workforce at the leadership level and why is it important? What is happening in the workplace today? How can we create greater equality? What are you doing to bridge the gap?
