Summary of Position:

The purpose of the Shift Manager is to provide leadership to Team Members in front of the house and back of the house positions in the restaurant by performing the following duties and responsibilities:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for managing tasks as delegated by the General Manager and Assistant General Manager for his/her assigned shift.
  • Maintains the front store and monitors store operations for his/her assigned shift.
  • Responsible for opening or closing the store in accordance with the assigned shift.
  • Orders products and for Grab and Go cases.
  • Ensures that staff is uniformed and maintain a professional image.
  • Assigns tasks to employees on shift.
  • Calls replacements in the event of call-off or no call no show.
  • Engages customers to make sure that they are satisfied with service and products offered.
  • Manages cash intake, counting in and out of registers at regular intervals and tabulating profit at the end of the shift.
  • Makes sure that the store is clean and presentable at the start and end of each shift.

Technical Requirements – Education, Areas of Knowledge and Experience:
  • Read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Be physically able to work a 10-12 hour day while on your feet.
  • Generally, a full-time position.
  • Climbing, reaching, walking, sitting, grasping, repetitive motions, visual acuity, hearing, and a great deal of smiling.
  • Able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs multiple times throughout a shift.
  • Represent the Brand by maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Pass all prerequisite training.
  • Previous restaurant experience including cash handling.
  • Previous experience managing people.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
  • Availability in the early mornings, weekends and holidays.
  • Pass required background check and drug test, including TSA clearance, if applicable.
