Summary of Position:

The purpose of the Line/Prep Cook is to prepare cooking ingredients by washing, chopping and cutting food and maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen by performing the following duties and responsibilities:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area adhering to food safety and health standards.
  • Ensures food ingredients are stored in their designated area and rotated in the proper manner.
  • Prepares all items in accordance with approved recipe cards.
  • Handles and cleans kitchen equipment carefully and safely to prevent damage or injury.
  • Works efficiently and effectively to gather, wash, cut, season, cook, and store quality ingredients.
  • Prioritizes and organizes tasks for speed and quality assurance.
  • Ensures requisitions are filled out for the next day’s par-stock requirements.
  • Performs other kitchen duties as required.
Technical Requirements – Education, Areas of Knowledge and Experience:
  • Read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Be physically able to work an 8-10 hour day while on your feet.
  • Climbing, reaching, walking, sitting, grasping, repetitive motions, visual acuity, hearing, and a great deal of smiling.
  • Able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times throughout a shift.
  • Represent the Brand by maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Pass all prerequisite training.
  • Previous cooking experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Availability in the early mornings, weekends and holidays.
  • Pass required background check, including TSA clearance, if applicable.
